Qarib Qarib Singlle (transl. Almost single) is a 2017 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy film co-written and directed by Tanuja Chandra and produced by Zee Studios, JAR Pictures and Sutapa Sikdar. The film stars Irrfan Khan and debuting Malayalam actress Parvathy Thiruvothu in the lead roles and had a worldwide release on 10 November 2017.
The film follows the story of Jaya Shashidharan (Parvathy), a 35-year-old widow who leads a monotonous life, still grieving the loss of her husband Manav. She works in an insurance firm and is constantly nagged by her friends and family to move on and find someone new. She reluctantly joins a dating app and meets Yogendra "Yogi" Kumar Devendra Nath Prajapati (Irrfan Khan), a lesser-known poet and a happy-go-lucky person. He tells her about his past three girlfriends who still yearn for him and challenges her to meet them to find out the truth. She agrees to accompany him on a trip to visit his exes, posing as his cousin.
