Before using the Ivoclar programat p200 furnace, make sure that the power supply and the voltage are compatible with the furnace specifications. The furnace should be placed on a stable and heat-resistant surface, away from direct sunlight and moisture. The furnace should also have enough ventilation and clearance around it. To turn on the furnace, press the on/off switch on the back of the furnace. The display will show the Ivoclar Vivadent logo and the software version. Then, the furnace will perform a self-test and show the main menu.
The main menu consists of four options: Program, Settings, Info, and Service. To select an option, use the cursor keys on the keypad and press the enter key. To go back to the previous menu, press the esc key. To start or stop a program, press the start or stop key respectively.
The Program option allows you to choose from 20 standard programs for Ivoclar Vivadent materials or 20 free programs that you can customize according to your needs. To select a program, use the cursor keys and press the enter key. To edit a program, press the settings key and use the + or - keys to change the parameters. The parameters include stand-by temperature, pre-drying time, pre-drying temperature, heating rate, final temperature, holding time, vacuum start, vacuum end, and cooling time.
The Settings option allows you to adjust the general settings of the furnace, such as language, date and time, sound, brightness, contrast, and calibration. To change a setting, use the cursor keys and press the enter key. To save your changes, press the esc key.
The Info option provides information about the furnace status, such as serial number, software version, operating hours, number of firings, and error messages. To view an information item, use the cursor keys and press the enter key.
The Service option allows you to access some service functions, such as reset, update, backup, restore, and test. These functions should only be performed by authorized service personnel or under their guidance.
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of the Ivoclar programat p200 furnace, it is important to follow some maintenance instructions. The furnace should be cleaned regularly with a soft cloth and a mild detergent. The display and the glass of the IR sensor should be cleaned with a special cloth provided by Ivoclar Vivadent. The firing chamber should be inspected for cracks or damages and replaced if necessary. The thermocouple should also be checked for accuracy and replaced every 500 firings or once a year.
The furnace should also be calibrated periodically to ensure accurate temperature measurement and control. The calibration can be done with the temperature checking set or the automatic temperature checking set ATK2. The temperature checking set consists of two sample holders and 10 silver test wires. The automatic temperature checking set ATK2 consists of a special holder with two integrated thermocouples. The calibration procedure is described in detail in the operating instructions manual.
